Four ACI's Added
The Department of Athletic Training has added four Approved Clinical Instructors. They are as follows: Jenny Dalland (SMDC-Orthopedics), Tom Nooyen (SMDC-Esko HS), Sarah Staum (SMDC-Hermantown HS), and Erin Stave (SMDC-Orthopedics).

Dr. Hal Strough will represent the department at the CSS Graduate and Extended Studies booth at the Midwest ACSM Meeting in St. Charles, IL. The booth will be open from Noon-8 on Friday October 16th and 8-4:30 on Saturday October 17th. Please stop by and learn more about the program.
Athletic Training Student Workshop
Our athletic training student workshop will be held on November 14th, 2009 in Burns Wellness Center beginning at 9 am. Admission is free to the first 40 students that provide verification from their guidance counselor, coach, athletic director, or athletic trainer. There are 14 registrants as of October 4, 2009. Approved Clinical Instructors Trained
The College of St. Scholastica Athletic Training Dept. trained 16 certfied athletic trainers to function as Approved Clinical Instructors (ACI's) of the program. Five are from CSS (Maren Barootian, Sean Degerstrom, Kim Moncel, Tom Rheaume, and Karen Swanson), four from UMD (Amy Gilbertson, Suz Hoppe, Kelly Stobba, and Mike Wendinger), one from UWS (Dave Kroll), and six from SMDC/area high schools (Mike Gogolin-Superior, Terry Hanson-Marshall, Stephanie Hauer-Duluth Denfeld, Bret Hinnenkamp-Proctor, Jennie Ogard-Duluth East, and Pat Riley (Northwestern). We hope to add additional ACI's in the coming weeks and months.
Graduate Programs Information Sessions Scheduled
