Is new for 2009-10 highlighted by 2 computers; 2 treatment tables; a mobile splinting station; a Biodex Balance Trainer SD; a Chattanooga DTS Traction System 8250K; Biodex Gait Trainer 2 treadmill; Biodex Offset Unweighing System; StarTrac 4400 recumbent bicycle ergometer; Vectra Genysis with muscle stimulation, ultrasound;, laser/light therapy, and EMG; paraffin bath; and laptop computer with Dartfish video analysis software. There is ample storage with a variety of other learning aids and clinical applications.

Burns Wellness Center Athletic Training Facility (139)
Is a state-of-the-art athletic training facility for its student-athletes and athletic training students. The facility is 2100 square feet and consists of functional areas devoted to staff offices, taping, rehabilitation, evaluation and treatment, and hydrotherapy. There are four taping tables, five treatment tables, a variety of rehabilitation apparatus including a Biodex UBE, and two whirlpools. Additional modalities include Vectra Genysis muscle stimulation, ultrasound, emg/biofeedback, laser/light therapy, and iontophoresis. Computer applications include Sportsware injury tracking software and ImPACT concussion testing.

Complementary Facilities

Adjacent to the athletic training lab is a 30-seat classroom equipped with ten tables. The tables have removal cushioned tops to facilitate both classroom and laboratory activities.
A 3000 square foot strength and conditioning facility in Burns Wellness Center provides an area for instruction and practice of strength and conditioning techniques.
The downstairs Exercise Physiology Laboratory in Burns Wellness Center houses the Kin Com 500H Muscle Testing and Training Systems.
Nursing Labs on the third floor of the Science Building provide students the opportunity to learn patient assessment skills on the Sim Man technology.

The Cadaver Anatomy Laboratory on the first floor of the Science Building provides a dedicated space for learning about Human Anatomy.
