I was attracted to athletic training because…

I have been involved in athletics virtually my whole life. Unfortunately I suffered my share of injuries and because of this spent some time in the training room and got an appreciation of the job that these professionals succeeded in. From an earlier age I found myself interested in the human body and how it functions, and I enjoy being part of a team and working with various athletes in the athletic setting.

I chose St. Scholastica because…

St. Scholastic has a reputation for having high academic standards. I enjoy this part of the country and have spent a lot of time here during my undergrad and also while growing up (being from Upper Michigan). I like the smaller school atmosphere and appreciate the personalized experience from the faculty.

I enjoy athletic training clinicals because…

It gives us as students a great chance to get personal, hands on experience in the settings that we will be spending our careers in. It also gives us a chance to network with other students and health care professionals and to experience a variety of different Athletic Training settings to get an understanding of the diversity of the profession.
