Bill Howes belongs to the Eagle Clan from the Anishinaabe people at the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation where he was born and raised. Bill is the husband of an amazing woman and proud father of their 15-yr. old daughter and 7-yr. old son that are the center of his life. He began teaching at Grant Language Magnet in Duluth, MN, where he taught 3rd grade for a year-an- a-half. Bill then accepted a position at Nettleton Magnet School as a 5th grade teacher. He taught 5th grade for four-and-a-half years before becoming the Integration Specialist for the Duluth Public Schools. After 4 years as the Integration Specialist, Bill took the position of Project Coordinator of OLCE Programs at The College of St. Scholastica. Bill received his B.A.S. from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
