This program of interdisciplinary study prepares students who wish to more fully understand organizations and the behaviors of people within them. It may be combined with elective study in management, psychology, or other disciplines, and forms a foundation for students who are interested in managing organization change initiatives. This major also prepares students who wish to undertake graduate study in various areas of organization studies or management.
Course Requirements
Each student works with a faculty advisor to plan the sequence of courses that will contribute most to his/her career goals. The following plan is an example of a sequence that includes management courses. Similar plans could also be developed for psychology or other disciplines. A student's plan also will incorporate the General Education courses and electives that best support his/her career interests.

In addition to the B.A. in Organizational Behavior, the College of St. Scholastica offers four additional related majors. The B.A. in Accounting includes courses in intermediate accounting, cost accounting, tax accounting, auditing, business law and advanced accounting. The B.A. in Applied Economics includes courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, money and banking, managerial economics, and international economics. The B.A. in Management includes courses in human resource management, strategic planning, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, and ethics. The B.A. in Marketing includes courses in product design, customer relations, advertising, market research, and creating strategic marketing plans.
