I hope the students that leave St. Scholastica with a baccalaureate degree have a good recognition of what ethical behavior is about and that they go out and practice it in the world around them, whether it's in their business life, their social life or their family life.![]()

The Sandbulte Center for Ethical Leadership was founded to strengthen the College's focus on teaching ethics so that ultimately ethical decision making is an integral part of our students' lives and ensure that Mr. Sandbulte's tradition of service to the community continues into the next century.
Arend J. "Sandy" SandbulteArend J. Sandbulte is the former president and CEO of ALLETTE, Inc. (formerly Minnesota Power) and a strong believer in the importance of ethics not just in business but in everyday life as well.
Sandbulte is a leader in the Duluth community, having served as a member of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce, the State of Minnesota Commission on Reform and Efficiency, St. Scholastica's Board of Trustees, the Duluth United Way Campaign, the Duluth Industrial Development Task Force, the Lake Superior Center, and the St. Luke's Hospital Board.
