Many of you will be new to the online education environment. Even if you have taken online courses elsewhere, you may find The St. Scholastica online environment a new experience. There are a few things we should cover before you begin with your first course.
I have put together a demonstration of one of my courses so you can get a preview of what a "typical" online course in our program looks like. I have also included some system and software requirements you should be prepared to follow before beginning your first course.
View a demonstration video of an online class. This demonstration shows you how to navigate around the course and shows you a common structure for the online courses. Please keep in mind that each course will be different since the instructors are allowed creative freedom in their course development.
After clicking on the hyperlink, a new page will be displayed. In some cases, the audio may begin before you see the video. If this occurs, simply wait until the video begins and then click on the stop button. You can then click on the play button and the audio and video will be in sync as the video restarts.
Below is a set of minimum system requirements recommended for your computer. If your system does not support these requirements, you may need upgrade. Please contact me if you plan to purchase a new system so I can provide some additional recommendations.
