Graduation Requirements
There are six major requirements to complete the bachelor's degree for either a management or a BAS divisional degree. Each area has several components, which are explained in the 2+2 guide.
- A minimum of 128 semester credit hours (or its equivalent) must be earned.
- The general education core of 48 semester credits or its equivalent must be completed. This can be fulfilled by an AA degree from Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MNTC). An upper division writing course must still be completed.
- The requirements of the major program selected must be completed. 10 or more upper division credits can be satisfied with Prious Learning Assessment.
- The last 32 semester credit hours of the degree plan must be fulfilled through CSS credits.
- 42 of the total 128 semester credits needed for graduation must be at the upper division (junior and/or senior level courses).
- Maintain at least a 2.4 grade point average in management course work in the St. Scholastica courses. Courses completed at Itasca Community College will transfer to CSS only if they have a C or better grade (C-, and grades lower do not transfer).
Degree Requirements:
The St. Scholastica management curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive well-rounded exposure to the field of management.
The curriculum is broken down into three distinct areas: 1.) the lower level core, 2.) the upper level core, and 3.) the General Education requirements, (which can be completed at ICC by receiving an AA through the completion of Minnesota Transfer Curriculum).
Students who have not completed the necessary management lower division core courses at the community college will have them completed with this generic plan. Also, when finishing the St. Scholastica courses, they will have completed the residency requirement (eight courses). In addition, those eight courses apply towards the 11 semester courses needed for the upper division (junior and senior years). The remaining upper division credits can be earned by choosing one of several alternatives: transfer from other institutions prior to this program, Prior Learning Credits, an internship, independent course work done outside the classroom, or classroom courses.
