Why did you choose St. Scholastica?
The small, close community was a major reason. The potential for great personal relationships was a big factor in why I chose to come here as well. When I came on my visit I was welcomed with open arms and could tell right away that going to school here would be a perfect fit for me both academically and athletically.
Why did you choose your major?
As a sports fanatic and player, I found my major very fitting because of the possibility to stay in the field if things don't work out in my playing career. This major gives me the opportunity to stay in a field that is a big part of my life.
Do you participate in any extracurricular activities; if so, why?
I play for the St. Scholastica men's hockey team. I've been playing hockey my whole life and the program here at the St. Schoalstica is top notch and has helped me develop some great relationships.
What are your post-graduation plans or goals?
I would love to stay in the game of hockey, whether it be as a player or as a writer or in a public relations role. I work full time in the summer with kids of all ages and I love that experience, so something in that field would also be a great fit for me.
What are your best campus experiences? What will you always remember?
Our hockey team's run to the national tournament this season is definitely right up there, as is the amazing game we won against University of Wisconsin - Superior my freshmen year, when I scored on a penalty shot to keep us alive and send us on to an overtime win.
Advice for prospective students?
Don't stress or worry too much about the future; just enjoy the time you have now. Have no regrets, enjoy your college years while you can, and take the opportunity to really grow as a person.
