Consumer level: Nolo Press makes available much information from their user-oriented legal encyclopedia as well as other information.
Justice Information Center
National Criminal Justice Reference Service. This government-sponsored site provides information on corrections, courts, victims and other subjects, in reports, statistics and press releases.
Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory This searchable equivalent of a traditional reference is a detailed "Yellow Pages" for lawyers organized by practice area and geographic location. There are also links to various other legal information resources, as well as full and detailed advice on choosing and using a lawyer.
