Instructions for students on finding reserve readings for in-library use
Homepage > Academics > Library > Find Course Reserves > Students - Reserves

For Students:

  • Ask for reserve materials at the library circulation desk. You need to know your instructor's last name and the course name. Most reserve materials can only be used within the library.
  • Instructors sometimes allow reserve materials to be checked out overnight. They may be taken within one-half hour of closing and must be returned within one hour of opening the next day. Your ID is held at the Library. Fines are one dollar per hour overdue!
  • Sorry! If a reserve item is already in use, we cannot tell you who has signed for it.
  • If your syllabus says an item is "in the library," that usually means it is not on reserve. These are usually books in the reference collection on the first floor or journals in the bound periodicals shelving on the second floor.
