History
The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) established The Center for Healthcare Innovation in 2005 in response to the widely documented crisis in healthcare in the United States. The College's reputation and leadership in Nursing and Health Sciences, including Healthcare Informatics and Information Management, along with its partnerships with educators and rural providers, allow the Center to contribute in a number of ways to this transformation. In addition, current Center initiatives and projects illustrate our commitment to being an important player within the industry. These include the Academic EHR Subscription Service, Healthcare Change Leadership Institutes, and research in EHR implementation best practices and optimal use of EHR systems, particularly in rural settings.
