Mission
The Center's mission is to extend the College's leadership in the positive transformation of the nation's healthcare through entrepreneurial initiatives in education, community partnerships, policy formulation, and applied research.
Vision
The Center's vision is to be nationally known for its leadership in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare professional education and the healthcare delivery system.
Values
The Center values collaborative, innovative leadership for healthcare that is both compassionate and effective.
The goal of The Center is to be a revenue-generating organization which identifies trends within both health sciences education and the healthcare industry and uses expertise and innovative approaches to help address these trends. The Center provides:
- Formal and continuing education in healthcare technology, best practices, management, and leadership;
- Consulting services to healthcare organizations and communities, especially rural markets, including face-to-face consulting, mini-conferences in policy, best practices and technology, structured programs, and as-needed follow-up conferences and retreats;
- Applied research to develop products and services in healthcare technology, practices, management, and leadership; and
- Policy research, analysis and formulation in healthcare technology, best practices, management, and leadership.
The strategic theme of The Center is interdisciplinary, values-based innovation-creating a new role for the College to use its educational mission to be creative, entrepreneurial, and proactive in finding and executing efficient and effective ways to improve healthcare education and delivery. To achieve this strategic theme, The Center leverages existing College assets and resources, maintains a business sense for all Center initiatives, and moves at a rapid pace.
