Rob Kehr has been named Alum of the Month for April 2008 at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. The Alum of the Month designation recognizes alumni who are role models to current students and an inspiration to St. Scholastica alumni. Kehr graduated from St. Scholastica in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and a minor in management. “The best memories I have all surround the relationships I built while attending St. Scholastica. The Benedictine value of community is extremely important to me. In my opinion it represents the relationships you build as you go through life,” he said. Kehr works in information services for Securian Financial Group in St. Paul, MN, where he manages a team of associates who provide support for all production information processing. He is responsible for facilitating, supporting and leading various business continuity planning initiatives from the technology perspective. He played four years for the St. Scholastica Saints hockey program and was twice named a National Collegiate Hockey Association Scholar-Athlete. His senior year, he was team captain and winner of the team’s MVP Award. For the past two years, he has been a coach at the USA Hockey Boys’ Select 15 and 16 Player Development Camps which attract some of the best players in the nation. He will graduate with a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in May. He is married to 2002 St. Scholastica graduate Molly (O’Rourke) Kehr.
