FREE COLOMBIAN DANCE PERFORMANCE AND FAMILY NIGHT JAN. 10 AT ST. SCHOLASTICA

A group of high school dancers from Bogotá, Colombia, will perform at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Mitchell Auditorium on The College of St. Scholastica campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Twenty-five high school students from the Buckingham School in Bogotá will perform traditional dances from various regions of Colombia.

After the performance, traditional food and craft-making opportunities will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. in Storm’s Den (on the ground floor of Tower Hall below the Mitchell Auditorium).

A bus will leave Grant School at 4:45 p.m. to bring families to the event. The school is at 1027 North 8th Ave., East, in Duluth. Ample parking is available on the St. Scholastica campus.

The event is sponsored by The College of St. Scholastica and the Duluth Public Schools’ Latino/Hispanic Cultural Center. Denfeld High School is hosting the dancers during their stay in Duluth.
