Linda Schwenzfeier has been named Alum of the Month for May 2009 at The College of St. Scholastica.
The Alum of the Month designation recognizes alumni who are role models to current students and an inspiration to St. Scholastica alumni.
Schwenzfeier graduated from St. Scholastica with a bachelor's degree in management in 2008. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in court reporting and an Associate of Arts degree from St. Cloud State University.
She is currently a judicial court reporter for the Seventh Judicial District with an office in St. Cloud, MN. She is a Registered Diplomat Reporter, the highest designation possible in court reporting. For the past six years she has been a union steward representing the court reporters for the district. She volunteers her time reading newspapers on the radio for the blind.
At St. Scholastica, she enjoyed her human resource classes and learning through the experiences of the instructors and other students. The Benedictine value of "love of learning" that she learned at the College has been a big part of her life. "I'm always looking for another class to take or book to read to enrich my life," she said.
