The Rev. Duncan Ross, senior pastor at Mount of Olives Baptist Church in Duluth, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday Oct. 26, in Somers Lounge at The College of St. Scholastica.
His free presentation is part of the "What Do Protestants Think About ..." lecture series sponsored by St. Scholastica's Braegelman Catholic Studies Program and the offices of Campus Ministry and Residential Life.
His talk is entitled "What Do Baptists Think About ... The Baptism of Infants or Baptism Without Immersion?" He will explore reasons why some people choose to be fully immersed in water during a baptism, rather than "endure" a few drops of water sprinkled on their forehead. The Rev. Tom Radaich of St. Michael's Church in Duluth will provide a response.
Rev. Ross came to Mount of Olives from Bethel Theological Seminary, where he received his MDiv. in 1990.
Catholic Studies at St. Scholastica is a program that explores the Catholic intellectual tradition with students and the larger community.
