"A Day at College" welcomes lifelong learners to The College of St. Scholastica on Wednesday, Aug. 22, for three sessions of continuing education. It is the kickoff event for St. Scholastica's Emeritus College, which offers enrichment courses on subjects ranging from the arts to technology.
A Day at College runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus. Each session includes 30 minutes of lecture followed by 10 minutes of questions and answers. No degrees or formal education are required. Two sessions are in the morning, followed by lunch and a third session in the afternoon.
A fee of $18 includes all sessions and lunch. Free parking is available in all campus lots. A DTA bus stop is located in front of Tower Hall.

A Day at College also will provide information about the full lineup of courses for Emeritus College's fall term, which begins Oct. 1. There will be three classes at St. Scholastica and one each in Two Harbors, Silver Bay and Virginia. Each class runs six weeks and meets for 90 minutes each week. All classes are taught by active faculty, retired professors and area experts.
