Rooften Garden open house at St. Scholastica

10/17/12DULUTH, MN - In conjunction with Food Day, a nationwide day dedicated to raising awareness about sustainable and healthy food, The College of St. Scholastica is hosting a Green Rooftop Garden Open House from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, atop the College's Science building addition.
A new rooftop greenhouse and green roof area will be open for public viewing and tours. Onlookers can learn about a pilot project involving growing food for the St. Scholastica campus. This project is supported in part by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Foundation and the Fund for the Environment of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.
Parking is free, as is the event. Enter the new Science building addition off of the Somers Hall parking lot. Take the elevators just inside the doors to the fourth floor and follow the signs.
