DULUTH, MN - Red Baraat, a unique nine-member ensemble that creates a musical message of global unity, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Mitchell Auditorium at The College of St. Scholastica. Tickets to the Mitchell Performing Arts Series concert are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/students, and $10 for children 12 and younger.
Red Baraat has established a reputation as one of the world's best live bands. Led by dhol drummer Sunny Jain, the nine-piece band melds the infectious North Indian rhythm Bhangra with a host of sounds including funk, go-go, Latin, and jazz. The ensemble has performed at some of the world's most prestigious stages, including Lincoln Center, London's Barbican, and the TED Conference.
