Morris Goldberg and Ojoyo will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus. The concert is part of the 2007-2008 Mitchell Performing Arts Series.

Ojoyo is known for its Safrojazz sound - a fusion of South African and American jazz and folk music. New York-based band leader Morris Goldberg was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and is a noted jazz composer, saxophonist, clarinetist, penny whistler and vocalist. He won popular acclaim through his featured performances on Paul Simon's "Graceland" album and his six-year stint as saxophonist and wind specialist on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."

Other band members include South African composer and musician Anton Fig (drums), renowned by his tenure on "Late Night with David Letterman" and for performing with Paul Simon; South African musician, composer and Simon tour band mate Tony Cedras (keyboards, trumpet, accordion, vocals); Chulo Gatewood (bass guitar); and Richard Cummings (keyboards).

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens and students, and $10 for age 12 and younger. The same prices apply for individual shows in the rest of the Performing Arts Series. The Gold Series is 20 percent off with the purchase of all 10 shows and the Silver Series is 10 percent off with the purchase of five shows.
