Lighting Ceremony |
The public is invited to the 15th annual Lighting a Tradition ceremony, a candlelit event in which The College of St. Scholastica community counts down to the illumination of the College's Christmas trees. The event will be at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, on the front steps of Tower Hall. It is free of charge.
Lighting a Tradition occurs immediately after the Advent Vespers Service, a service of story and song, which begins at 4:30 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel. The event is celebrated with the Monastic and College communities, along with alumni and friends of St. Scholastica.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Lighting a Tradition" features song and Christmas treats to ring in the holiday season at the College. It is considered the beginning of the holiday season for the St. Scholastica campus.
