Katie McMahon will continue a holiday tradition at The College of St. Scholastica when she performs her Celtic Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Mitchell Auditorium. The concert is part of the 2011-2012 Mitchell Performing Arts Series.
McMahon is trained in voice and harp. She specializes in traditional Irish music, which she will share during her Mitchell Celtic Christmas performance.
McMahon is from Dublin and is best known as the "voice of Riverdance," with soprano solos that have been described as "poetry, perfection and purity."
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students and $10 for children 12 and younger.
