The College of St. Scholastica has announced the appointment of Lori A. Collard as vice president for human resources.
Collard comes to St. Scholastica from ALLETE, where she most recently served as director of human resources. She has also directed marketing, market research and corporate relations efforts at the company. She began her career at Minnesota Power in 1979 as a rate analyst.
She currently serves on the boards of Essentia Health and SMDC Health System. Previously, she served on the boards of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Lake Superior Area Labor/Management Association, and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Collard received her BA in economics from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and is a graduate of the U of M's Minnesota Executive Program.
"Lori comes to the College with extensive experience in strategic planning, leadership development, marketing, budgeting, operations, public relations, and customer service-as well as a love of the Benedictine tradition," said St. Scholastica President Larry Goodwin. "She is a wonderful fit for the College."
