DULUTH, MN - As students in The College of St. Scholastica's post-baccalaureate nursing program approached graduation on Aug. 1, they decided to make a class donation to CHUM. The class's 37 members asked friends and family who would be attending their graduation ceremony to bring small items to help CHUM clients.
"Our class has been very involved in the community and felt it would be fitting to do one last donation as a class before we venture off into our separate nursing careers," said Mollie Lambert, who helped coordinate the gift. "We chose CHUM because they do so much work in our community and help all ages and groups."
The following items were donated to CHUM earlier this month:
204 pairs of socks
81 tooth brushes
43 tooth brush kits (tooth brush and tooth paste)
32 toothpastes
44 nail clippers
81 shampoos
57 conditioners
58 bars of soap
14 deodorants
7 body washes
24 lotions
45 shirts
14 hats
14 miscellaneous items and
a $25 check donation.
