The College of St. Scholastica Concert Choir, the women's ensemble Bella Voce, and the Women's Choir will present their fall concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, in the Mitchell Auditorium. The concert is open to the public; tickets are $5.
The choirs are under the direction of Bret Amundson, director of choral activities at St. Scholastica.
"This concert emphasizes the inherently collaborative nature of music," said Amundson. "This semester we have collaborated with other musicians, professors, advocacy agencies, and organizations and plan to continue to collaborate more with several guest instrumentalists and soloists to enhance our vocal ability."
Music for the Nov. 20 concert includes "Wade in the Water," arranged by Moses Hogan, featuring St. Scholastica music faculty member Bill Bastian; "Idumea," arranged by Rick Bjella, featuring Olivia Beisler and Kathryn Niemela; "Psalm 100" by Rene Clausen, featuring Emily Valine, piano and Chris Belich, marimba; "Jamaican Market Place," featuring Jeremy Craycraft and Chris Belich, steel drums; "La lluvia" by Stephen Hatfield, and "Afternoon on a Hill" by Eric Barnum.
