Training to Serve (TTS) assists providers of aging services with education and tools to help them meet the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) persons as they age.

Dr. Moone holds a BA in psychology from The College of Saint Scholastica a MS degree in gerontology from Saint Cloud State University and a Ph.D. in social work from the University of Minnesota. In addition he currently holds a nursing home administrator's license in Minnesota. He has worked
for two area agencies on aging and the Minnesota Board on Aging. Currently Dr. Moone teaches at the University of Minnesota, University of Saint Thomas, provides consultation to aging and disability service providers, manages the aging and disability projects at Greater Twin Cities United Way and serves on the Boards of the Minnesota Gerontological Society and Training to Serve. He was recently appointed an Atlantic Philanthropies Health and Aging Policy / American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow.
Cathy is a Public Health Nurse with 20 years of experience in management, research and development of community-based services, and frequently publishes and speaks on topics related to elder health and safety. She currently serves on the American Society of Aging's LGBT Aging Issues Network (LAIN) Leadership Council, National LGBT Aging Roundtable, National LGBT Aging Resource Center's Advisory Council, and Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries Board of Directors. Cathy is the past Chair of the LAIN Editorial Board, past founding Chair of GLBT Generations, and currently leads the Training to Serve Board of Directors.
